The federal government’s foremost duty is to protect the United States so every American can live in safety and peace. As the leader of the free world, America has a responsibility to maintain a strong security presence around the globe—defending freedom, advancing U.S. interests, and deterring threats before they reach our shores. It’s an America First defense policy of peace through strength.

Congress must fully fund our military and ensure those resources are directed toward strengthening our national defense. We need to prioritize growing our armed forces, expanding our cyber defense capabilities, and maintaining a decisive strategic edge across 21st-century battlefields—both physical and digital. At the same time, we must secure our borders to preserve peace, safeguard our communities, stop the flow of fentanyl and drugs from entering our country and harming our youth, and protect the economic prosperity that fuels our nation’s future.

As a father of a little girl, it’s important to me that my daughter and the young girls across this nation have spaces, sports, and activities where they are safe and can compete fairly. To put it simply, men are men and women are women. Men shouldn’t be able to compete against women or go in their bathrooms, dressing rooms, and other private spaces.

In Congress, I will fight to put what should be common sense into law.

We need to protect our communities from domestic threats and violence. The “defund the police” movement has made America more dangerous and our communities less safe for families. Congress must work with state officials to support local law enforcement, ensuring that they have the resources necessary to keep our communities safe.

Our youth are the future of this nation, and our future prosperity hinges on the development of the youth as a new generation of leaders, innovators and patriots. Focus needs to be put on our education system to ensure our students are getting the greatest education available to develop their knowledge, skills, professional character, and future aspirations and goals.

The political indoctrination of our students in public schools must stop. Critical race theory is not an acceptable education system, especially not for our elementary school students. Students should be taught to work together, not to be segregated and divided by race.

School boards need more control over education, not the federal government. This will enable each community to address local education issues without federal dictates. I am completely in favor of all types of school options – public, voucher, charter, parochial, private, and others. Every parent should have the choice to send their children to any school they so choose. We live in the best country in the world, and educational choice should be at the forefront of childhood development.

I’ve been fortunate to meet with so many everyday hardworking Minnesotans and their families in the 2nd District over the last several years. I’ve talked to small business owners and workers. All of their stories are important, and I will be a tireless advocate for our small businesses and workers in Congress to help set the conditions to allow our businesses and workforce grow.

America’s principles have allowed our economy to grow and flourish. I will work with President Trump and House Republicans to cut through the red tape that holds so many small businesses back. Economic prosperity is not achieved through endless regulations and government spending; it is achieved through allowing individuals to start private businesses, grow their businesses, and succeed.

We need to address our deteriorating infrastructure and expand rural broadband. Our rural communities need investment just as much as areas in the metro. And when it comes to the farm bill and federal programs for farmers, I’m in favor of them if they truly support our farmers and the ag community. As important as it is to have programs in the farm bill, it's just as important to cut harmful regulations to build a strong agricultural economy.

The federal government is responsible for establishing critical infrastructure across the country to enable economic growth and prosperity. We cannot ignore the government’s obligation to enhance the nation’s outdated and degrading critical infrastructure.

Enhanced and improved infrastructure will foster greater economic growth for the nation, while simultaneously creating jobs across Minnesota and the country, but only if we spend it wisely.

A strong economy depends on fair, strategic trade agreements that give American businesses, large and small, full access to global and regional markets. These agreements must prioritize American workers, safeguard our industries, and fuel economic growth at the state and national levels.

Expanding market access and strengthening fair trade practices remain essential to driving job creation, innovation, and long-term prosperity. We must pursue new, modern trade partnerships with trusted allies while renegotiating outdated agreements to better reflect today’s global economy. At the same time, we must hold foreign governments accountable for unfair trade practices, intellectual property theft, and economic manipulation that harm American businesses and undermine our competitiveness.

The rising cost of healthcare is a critical issue facing Minnesota families. We need to offer patients more choices, rein in skyrocketing costs, improve quality, and expand access to care.

My plan is built on common sense, patient-focused solutions. We will lower healthcare prices by opening Health Savings Accounts, providing transparency in billing so patients know the true cost of care, and opening up state lines so consumers can get affordable and accessible healthcare no matter where they live. We will not go to a government controlled, single-payer healthcare system.

For too long, Congress has failed to truly reform our healthcare system. We need to enact reforms that cut costs, expand choice, and puts patients first.

As a Marine veteran, ensuring high-quality healthcare for our veterans isn’t just policy—it’s personal. Every veteran who seeks care through the VA deserves the very best treatment available. Anything less is a betrayal of the men and women who risked their lives in service to our country.

I believe veterans should have the freedom to access healthcare wherever it best meets their needs, not just within VA facilities. Veterans gave everything for America; we owe it to them to deliver the highest standard of care when they return home.

In Congress, I will fight to expand healthcare options for our veterans, champion legislation to strengthen and enhance their benefits, and ensure no veteran is ever left behind.

Medicare and Social Security are promises we’ve made to hardworking Americans, guaranteeing that after a lifetime of paying in, they can retire with dignity and peace of mind. I will always protect and defend these vital programs and stand firmly against any effort to cut benefits for our seniors.

I’m committed to rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse to ensure these critical resources go to the people who earned them, not to those who game the system.

In Congress, I’ll continue fighting to lower healthcare and prescription drug costs so Minnesota seniors have access to affordable, high-quality care without breaking the bank.

The Trump administration and DOGE have found billions in wasteful government spending. We’ve known for decades that the government can’t spend our taxpayer dollars effectively, and now we have the proof. As a member of Congress, I will work to not just find wasteful spending but cut wasteful spending out of the budget.

Members of Congress, on both sides of the aisle, continue to agree to raise the debt ceiling with no end in sight. When you send me to Congress, I will not vote to raise the debt ceiling in any circumstance, understanding that it only hurts generations of Americans to come.

I am a strong and unwavering supporter of the Second Amendment. Our Founding Fathers included this essential right not just for recreation or hunting, but primarily to ensure citizens could defend themselves and safeguard their freedoms. While hunting and outdoor sports are a proud part of our heritage, the Second Amendment exists to protect the Constitution and the rights of every American. Gun control laws often punish law-abiding citizens while doing little to stop criminals who acquire weapons illegally. Instead of more restrictions, we need better firearm education and greater focus on mental health. Protecting the Second Amendment means preserving the liberties that make America strong.

I’m not a career politician—my life has been about service with a commitment to integrity and accountability. In Congress, I will bring those values to Washington and work to restore public trust in Washington. I will focus on representing the people of Minnesota, not the agendas of special interests or political elites. That means holding monthly town halls to stay directly connected with constituents and always putting your concerns first. I will never become a lobbyist, and I support term limits to end the cycle of career politics. Public office should be about service, not self-interest.
